802.11b can be replaced with 802.11a...
Omofaye 12th Sep 2002
Yes! I can replace my organisation's 802.11b equipment with 802.11a for a couple of reasons. Though more expensive than the 802.11b, the 802.11a is not so prone to RF interferences, because it operates in the uncrowded license free RF spectrum. Mostusers use the 802.11b. If more users at close proximity to my organisation's wireless LAN cause interference and this becomes unbearable, I would advice a change over to 802.11a thus avoiding the interferences.
