Gates hasn't got enough stupidity
bisioni@... 28th Mar 2001
I'm afraid, he is too entrepreneurial to become the Number 1 citizen. He has to unlearn some 'business wizziz' learn some political stupidity and relearn what it takes to be successful...

Clearly, that would take him time to accomplish.

Gates could no more run the country than his company can produce a stable, cost-effective product and cooperate with the industry rather than trying to circumvent the standards (like Java, HTTP, XML, etc.).

As "W" will continue to find out, government is about compromise ad nausem, not ramming your own way through.
