Nova Launcher is, by far, my favorite Android Homescreen launcher. One of it's coolest features allows you to organize your application drawer into customized groups.
Imagine not having to scroll through countless apps to find the one you want. Sure, you might know exactly what that icon looks like, but it's easy for nearly any launcher to get lost in your collection of installed apps.
Nova Launcher fixes this issue by allowing you to set up App Drawer Groups. This means you can have a group for Networking tools, Games, Productivity tools...you name it.
How do take advantage of these groups? Simple. Let's walk through the process of creating an app group and moving apps into it.
To create an app drawer group, do the following:
- Open the App Drawer
- Tap the overflow menu
- Tap Nova Settings
- Tap Drawer
- Tap Drawer Groups
- Tap the Plus button
- Give the group a name
- Select App Group from the drop-down
- Tap Add
Now to add apps to the group, do the following:
- Tap the edit button for the group
- Tap Select Apps
- Select each app to be included in the drawer
- When finished tap the Back button
- Tap OK
Now open the app drawer and you should see your newly created group with included apps.
If you're looking for the fastest way to organize your app drawer, the Nova Launcher App Drawer Group feature is just what you need.
