Ethernet LAN
shantelle1109 14th Oct 2011
The standards define several wiring and signaling variants. The original 10BASE5 Ethernet used coaxial cable as a shared medium. Later the coaxial cables were replaced by twisted pair and fiber optic links in conjunction with hubs or switches. Data rates were periodically increased from the original 10 megabits per second, to 100 gigabits per second.- Guy Riordan

What About Encryption?
Nels 30th Nov 2000
Encryption. Is the data securty increased by the insertion of encryption? Realize that for any encryption there is a way to decrypt the info. Then there must be a realistic approach to the sensitivity of the data. Ask yourself: Are my competitors actually that hungry to pay for the technology to capture my wireless emmissions? Am I really the target of industrial espionage?
