Download TechRepublic's 2002 list of online resources for CIOs

Today's CIOs are busier than ever, and finding valuable online resources can be time-consuming. Covering topics ranging from security news to career management, this 2002 list of essential links for tech leaders can help you stay up to date.

Which consultancy should you choose for research on ASPs? Which analyst has the most information on enterprise security? What publications offer the technology insight you need?

To help technology leaders answer all these questions and more, we’ve put together a downloadable list of resources, complete with links. Some of the resources included in the list are ones that our staff uses when researching articles for TechRepublic, and some were brought to our attention by your fellow TechRepublic and CIO community members.

This download provides you with the following information:
  • Links to the nine leading IT research/analyst firms, including a brief description of each firm and its particular focus
  • A list of six technology magazines or online publications, providing sound business advice and information on industry events and market trends
  • A few miscellaneous resources that have proven valuable to both CIOs and TechRepublic, including CEOExpress, where CIOs can create their own information portal; the Morgan Stanley Dean Witter CIO Council, an executive information-sharing program that is used to provide and gather insight into industry dynamics; and, a site providing job assessment tools for both managers and employees

Obviously, this list isn’t meant to be comprehensive, and we plan to update it regularly as TechRepublic members submit their own favorites. E-mail us your trusted online resources for IT executives, and we’ll include them in updates of this list.
