Where do you go for training when you want to change jobs? Grrrkid wants to know how to start a new career in programming. 500 TechPoints go to the person who offers the most informative answer!

Have you ever wanted to change your job from being a network administrator to being a programmer? That’s exactly what TechRepublic passport owner, Grrrkid, wants to do. Perhaps you could give him a few suggestions and in return receive 500TechPoints for your trouble!

A change of heart
Grrrkid recently posted the following query in TechRepublic’s TrainingRepublic Forum: “Has anyone got any good advice on how to move from a network administration career to a programming career? I have a degree, which qualified me to go in either direction, and I chose to go into network administration. I now realize over four years down the track that I would really like to shift sideways into programming. What would you suggest? Will I have to start as an entry-level person again?”
