Why won’t WinNT 4 recognize my laptop?
Here’s mike.goodchild’s question, posted in the Support Republic’s PC Troubleshooting area of the Technical Q&A:

“I have a Toshiba laptop on a small network running Windows 98 SE. I use Network Associates Management Edition to distribute antivirus software to machines on the network. For some reason, I can’t access the laptop to distribute the antivirus software to it. I have allowed remote administration under passwords in the control panel. I have also enabled file and print sharing. I can do standard operations on all other machines, but I still can’t see the laptop to update it. The laptop can access the network with no problems, although I cannot see it in Server Manager on the NT 4 Server.”

You could win 250 TechPoints
