Coding challenge offers cash prize

Quixey, the search engine for apps, is re-introducing its popular Quixey Challenge: a contest offering $100 to anyone with coding chops who can find and fix a bug in any given algorithm in 60 seconds or less.

Quixey is looking for engineers and what’s unique about their approach is that while recruiters often pull from the same pool of ivy-league candidates and recruiting events like Hackathons are bound by location, top talent can be anywhere and The Challenge helps Quixey find help based on the skills they possess. Since it first launched in October 2011, more than 10,000 engineers have taken at least one practice test with over 2,000 completing the challenge and nearly 600 winning the $100 prize. Quixey has found over 700 potential candidates and hired 10 current employees through the challenge.
