In the last 100 years, the world has changed immensely. Only a fraction of the things we use on a daily basis were invented or widely available as mass produced items. In 1908, the closest thing to a computer programmer or a systems administrator might be a telegraph operator.
IT work is a unique blend of hands-on work, mental problem solving, and creativity. Sometimes I find it interesting to wonder what kind of work I would do if I was born 100 years ago.
