Superman debut comic sells for a record-breaking $1M

On Monday, a 1938 debut edition of Action Comics No. 1, which was the first comic book to feature Superman, sold for $1 million.

This morning, a 1938 debut edition of Action Comics No. 1, which was the first comic book to feature Superman, sold for $1 million by a private seller to a private buyer via the the auction site ComicConnect.com. This sale breaks the previous comic book record of $317,000, which someone paid last year for the same issue. According to the AP release, this copy sold for a much higher price because it was in better condition.
