The mad geniuses behind Mystery Science Theater 3000 have begun releasing video clips of their newest endeavor — RiffTrax, wherein they provide MP3 audio commentaries for mainstream, contemporary movies — via YouTube. Here’s about 90 seconds of Mike, Crow, and Tom Servo ripping apart Episode II. Sadly, this is about the only thing that makes the Star Wars prequel trilogy watchable anymore.
More important than laying the smack to George Lucas (because some things are all too easy), RiffTrax has a new iRiffs channel on their Web site where you can submit your own commentaries for major motion pictures. Get sassy enough at the filmsnark, and they’ll pay you for the funny. At last, your hate can be used for good, or at least to earn pizza money.
