Peter Jackson offers a behind-the-scenes look at the making of The Hobbit. In this video, he gives a tour of some of the film's set and prop pieces, the pre-production work, and more.

Director Peter Jackson has posted a video on Facebook in which he gives a tour of The Hobbit's set and a look at some of the pre-production work on the film. The Hobbit is being shot in Wellington, New Zealand on the same stage where they made The Lord of the Rings. If you're eagerly awaiting The Hobbit's release, you'll want to check out this 10-minute video, which features props, training, and set pieces, and some of the actors (including Ian McKellen, Andy Serkis, and Martin Freeman).

Probably would have loved it, had the video not been removed for a "copyright claim" issue. What's the deal with that?

Can't wait!! I have been an LOTR fangirl for ages, and the wait for this has been too long! I look forward to following more vids and can not wait to see it open! I'm so glad that Peter Jackson is in the director's chair- I think he did splendidly for LOTR and it's good to have the same vision for the prequel! I'm seriously all smiles now!!
