Geeks of Doom informs us that the producers of Robot Chicken have teamed up with George Lucas himself to create a 30-minute Star Wars parody special for Cartoon Network. For those who haven't seen it, Robot Chicken is a raunchy, irreverent claymation sketch comedy show that sends up the last 30 years of pop culture, particularly geek-centric television, movies, toys, video games, and cartoons. The above is an example of what Robot Chicken can do without Darth Lucas' blessing (yes, that is Mark Hamill voicing Luke Skywalker), so I'm curious how much the bar will be raised or lowered when the production team gets in bed with Lucasfilm. We'll all find out when the special airs June 17.
