Webcomic: H.G. Wells' "The War of the Worlds"

It was 77 years ago yesterday that Orson Welles terrified the world with his radio rendition of H.G. Wells' sci-fi classic, <em>The War of The Worlds</em>. Well, here in the 21st century we're not so limited in our choice of media, which is why writer Ben Edginton and artist D'Israeli have managed to adapt an online comic book version of <em>War of the Worlds</em>, which you can read for free.

Now, I doubt this impressive little project is going to be mistaken for an actual invasion (or change U.S. federal law) like Welles' rendition did, but it is a nice way to spend a while on the intarweebs, gettin' your literature on. Don't say I never gave ya nothin'.
