Quick Tip: Label your email conversations before you send them

In March 2012, Google added a feature to Gmail that allows you to label and star messages before mailing them.

There may be plenty of things to praise about Google Apps and there may be plenty of things to criticize, but there is one thing we call all agree on - when it comes to available features, Google sure does like to keep things actively changing. One recent new feature is the ability to add labels and stars to important email messages in Gmail as you are composing them and before you actually send them.

Note: If you are an enterprise Google Apps user, you may have to prod your administrator to turn this feature on.

As you compose your new email you can designate a label or star it as important or do a combination of labels and stars. While this some major breakthrough in email science, it does give users another convenient tool for managing their increasingly cluttered inbox.
