CNET News.com (TechRepublic’s sister site) has drawn up a visual diagram of the now-epic attempt of Microsoft to acquire Yahoo. The diagram shows all of the players in the game and where they fit into the fray.

Of course, this thing isn’t over yet. Who knows who might jump into the game next. Comcast? The New York Times? IAB? There’s almost nothing that would surprise me at this point. The Yahoo board did meet over the weekend and is contemplating its next steps, as reported in the ZDNet story “Is AOL a viable option for Yahoo against Microsoft?
