Trends in the work-from-home market

IT consultants who are looking for new opportunities to keep their pipeline from running dry should check out the results from DoNanza's work-from-home study.

Most consultants constantly need to keep an eye open for new opportunities to keep their pipeline from running dry. DoNanza provides a search engine for work-from-home project opportunities. The company recently published a study of trends in this market. I spoke with the founders of DoNanza, and reviewed the company's report in the Programming and Development blog post, Study: High demand for HTML5, PHP, and mobile app projects. Let me know what you think.

This site is a joke. That is, unless you consider $5/hr a decent wage. That is the problem with all of the elance, guru, odesk type sites: everybody wants to get some Russian programmer to build them a full-featured replica of Full-Tilt Poker for $2000 and then is surprised when they don't get a quality product.

DoNanza seems to have figured out how to make money regardless of what happens. It appears that they sell the client contact information. I do not know about DoNanza, but many of the items on Odesk and Elance appear to be related to spam efforts. When someone can get paid to create 1000 hotmail accounts each day from different IP addresses, I've got to think that something is awry.

... over at the post, Justin questioned the validity of these statistics. Gil Pal from DoNanza responded. Take a look.

... at least, in my experience. But it isn't always the case. Some of those $12/hr guys are actually pretty good. The trouble is sorting them out.

Hi @paul like in every industry you will find in the work-from-home world projects you will regard as spam, but the variety of project types and requests in the work from home world is so enormous, you can actually find any type of project that suits you. From type and budget perspective.I invite you to search and see for yourself - http://www.donanza.com/ Cheers, Gil Pal, DoNanza team.
