AMD will launch its Spider platform that combines Phenom quad-core processors with ATI Radeon HD 3800 graphics processors and AMD 7-series chipsets.

An excerpt from Geekzone:

AMD's Spider platform advances enthusiast computing by delivering a sophisticated multi-GPU enthusiast platform with ATI CrossFireX technology. The combination of the 55nm ATI Radeon HD 3800 Series of graphics processors and the increased system bandwidth of PCI Express Generation 2.0 and HyperTransport 3.0 technology, provide optimal processing power for a scalable HD multi-GPU experience.

AMD also demoed its Overdrive console, with features to over-clock the CPU, memory, and chip-set.

While AMD may not be ahead of Intel, with its 45 nm-based chips coming only a year down the line, the latest line in gaming platforms makes a great statement on integration with ATI.
