Nokia in deal with Microsoft for Windows Live services on S60 handsets

Nokia, the Finnish mobile manufacturer, has embraced Microsoft Windows Live; a suite of Live services will run on S60 mobile handsets, reports internetnews.com.

Here's a quote from the article:

The suite includes Windows Live Hotmail, Live Messenger, Live Contacts, and Live Spaces. Additionally, beginning next year, customers who purchase compatible Nokia Series 40 handsets will also be able to run the suite, according to the statement. (Nokia has already incorporated Windows Live Search into its Nokia Mobile Search application and plans to extend it to support Series 40 phones.)

The Inquirer reports that the services are free except Live Messenger, which you can get a free trial of for 30 days. Also, you may need to check for your OS version, especially if you are using an N73 phone.

The link to the download site at Nokia has the list of phones that can use the utilities. The service, though not available in the United States, will be available in Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Netherlands, Norway, Spain, the United Kingdom, Sweden, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE.
