AOL is acquiring Quigo, a company that specializes in matching ads to Web page content.
AOL, currently based in Dulles, Va., already is planning to move its senior executives, ad sales representatives, and content producers to new headquarters in New York to be closer to the heart of the media-advertising industry. And it is consolidating its various advertising services, platforms, and acquisitions into a new unit called Platform A.
AOL has been on an ad acquisition spree, acquiring Third Screen Media (a mobile advertising firm), AdTech AG, Lightningcast (a firm that specializes in inserting ads in audio and videos), and Tacoda (a leader in behavioral targeting technology).
