For those with legitimate files on Megaupload, a deal has been negotiated between Megaupload's U.S. attorney Ira Rothken and the two companies responsible for hosting that data not to start deleting data for at least two weeks:

"The hosting companies have been gracious enough to provide additional time so we can work out some kind of arrangement with the government," Rothken said.

Rothken is in negotiations with the government about finding a permanent solution to the user-data issue.

While all of the fallout from the Megaupload raid continues to evolve, many people have found the eccentric figure of Kim Dotcom pretty fascinating.
