Cracking open the Apple Mac mini (A1347) 2010

Takeaway: Bill Detwiler cracks open Apple’s redesigned Mac mini for a look at the hardware inside the new unibody enclosure.

In June 2010, Apple released a redesigned Mac mini. The new model (A1347) has several improvements, such as a sleek unibody enclosure, cooling fan, user accessible RAM, HDMI output, and SD card slot. In this teardown gallery, I disassemble the Mac mini. To my surprise, the new Mac mini is a surprisingly serviceable machine.
