Takeaway: During this week’s The Big Question podcast, Bill Detwiler discusses the big tech trends from CES 2010–smaller laptops and tablets, 3D TV, and e-readers.

The 2010 International Consumer Electronics Show officially starts today. And, over a hundred thousand vendors, retailers, press, and tech enthusiasts will swarm Las Vegas looking for the hottest gadgets and gizmos.

As a guess on this week’s The Big Question podcast, I discussed the big trends to watch at CES 2010. The hottest of these seem to be 3D television, smaller laptops and tablet computers, and ereaders.

The Big Question is a joint production from ZDNet and TechRepublic co-hosted by TechRepublic Editor in Chief Jason Hiner and ZDNet Editor in Chief Larry Dignan.
