Office challenge: Where's the message interval setting in Outlook 2010?

As stragglers continue to upgrade to 2010, you're bound to see a few oddball problems occasionally. Here's one that's easy to solve, if you know where to look!

An Outlook user finally upgraded to 2010 and she's run into a problem many others ran into when upgrading. Outlook used to check for new mail automatically, every 45 minutes. Now, it downloads mail as it arrives and she finds the constant interruptions annoying. She reset the automatic download feature, but she still wants Outlook 2010 to check for mail at a specific interval, automatically. How do you help this user?
