There are two new Knowledgebase articles to report. One is for Office 2007, the second applies to Access 2007:
- Description of the 2007 Office hotfix package: February 26, 2008: With Office 2007 installed, Office Document Imaging doesn’t display full scanner names if the names contain over 30 characters. Submit a request to obtain the fix.
- Description of the Access 2007 hotfix package: March 6, 2008: This hotfix fixes two problems: Access 2007 stops responding when you design a query in Design view; Compact and Repair on a shared database creates a new database that isn’t compacted, but the old one is. Submit a request to obtain this fix.
Both problems seem obscure, but would certainly be annoying. I haven’t noticed either on my systems, but I would definitely be annoyed if Access’ Query Design window wasn’t working correctly.
Unless the problem is severe, Microsoft recommends that you wait for the next service pack instead of installing the hotfix.
