With the release of Windows Phone 8 mostly coinciding with the public launch of Windows 8, it seems like more carriers and phone vendors are lining up behind Windows 8. Unfortunately, it feels like Microsoft dropped the ball by not having the Windows Phone 8 SDK available to the public until after the Windows 8 launch, preventing any kind of enthusiasm (though there seems to be little enough of it for Windows 8 in general) to carry over to developers.
As a happy Windows Phone 7 owner, I plan on upgrading to Windows Phone 8 in the near future and learn Windows Phone 8 development, though I do not have any compelling professional reason to develop for Windows Phone 8 at this time.
Are you likely to develop for Windows Phone 8?
