So much for the value of mobility. I think this shows the prime use of these devices is for couch surfers.

Reminds me of another touchy

@rloptino, Talking about Symbian you reminded me of my Sony Ericsson P800i, also one off the very early touch screen smart-phones. A very nice, ahead of it's time, underated phone. SE should not have let this this product line die.

What about the Palm Treo?

Handango provided an "app store" for many phones starting in 2003 with Symbian, and in 2004 for Windows Mobile and Palm OS. They were later acquired by PocketGear in 2010. I used to buy tons of apps from PocketGear for my Palm Treo long before Apple had an App Store. Yet somehow Apple gets credit for the first App Store in the infographic. The only difference is that Apple made the App Store itself an app, whereas with Handango/PocketGear you had to visit a web site to download the app, which could be done over the air as well (no need to connect to your PC).
