Download TechRepublic's CSS Reference Table

When I learned that CNET Networks sister site Builder.com was closing down at the beginning of July 2007, one of the first pieces of Builder.com content that fellow TechRepublic Senior Editor (and former Builder.com Senior Editor) Mark Kaelin and I said we wanted to retain for TechRepublic was the immensely popular CSS Reference Table.

So, I enlisted one of our longtime contributors, Tony Patton, to update this reference. Tony is more than qualified for the job -- he's not only an experienced developer, but he's also a former Builder.com editor.

The latest version of the CSS Reference Table is now available for download. Also, be sure to check out another useful Builder.com resource that was moved to TechRepublic: the Color Code Converter.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

UPDATE: Thursday, August 9th, TechRepublic experienced database issues. Any member who was logged in during that time will see an error message when they try to access this download. Those users will need to leave the site, delete their cookies (techrepublic.com and com.com, we believe), and return/relogin to the site and then try the download. I apologize for the inconvenience.

The call to the table is broken. Your aspx page is returning an error from the table's key value. Ahem! Here's the one line text returned: "Incorrect key file for table './itpapers/RegistrationQRM.MYI'; try to repair it".

It still looks like that site lead has a few problems. (I had to sign-in at least 4 times.) Did the TR change the download stream? Again, along with Justin James, a Thanks to Mary. -d

Mary - Thanks for putting that somewhere accessible. This is the kind of information that I never seem to have handy, and end up doing something like starting a monster CSS editor just to remind me of the one attribute I need. J.Ja

I received a similar error using Firefox browser. The link works fine using Opera. Are you listening TechRepublic?

I'm getting this error w/a different number as well. It's happening to a couple of downloads on the site, not just this one.

I'd like to download the file, but I get this same error with a different number. It looks like your login is broken. John Korchok

miamisoftware, Thank you for the notification. We are experiencing site issues with the downloads and white papers directories, but our engineers are working on it. I will update this post when the directory links are working again. I'm very sorry for the inconvenience. Thanks again, Mary Weilage

I contacted one of our site producers, and here is what I found out. Last Thursday, TechRepublic experienced database issues. Any member who was logged in during that time will see an error message when they try to access this download. Those users will need to leave the site, delete their cookies (techrepublic.com and com.com, we believe), and return/relogin to the site and then try the download. Please let me know if this doesn't resolve the issue. I apologize for the inconvenience. Thank you, Mary Weilage

Doesn't work on either of those 3 browsers. I'm not going to download a 4th just to get a few articles. TR just needs to fix their site.

The site issues that were preventing members from accessing TechRepublic's downloads and white papers directories have been resolved. I just downloaded the CSS Reference Table without any problems. Please let me know if you're still encountering issues. Thank you, Mary Weilage
