Cisco Systems will be acquiring policy management software maker Securent for a value of $100 million.
The acquisition, valued at about $100 million, brings to Cisco technology that allows customers to administer, audit and enforce access policies to a wide range of applications, data and infrastructure.
Securent’s authorization management software provides organizations with options to define enterprise-wide access policies. Securent’s acquisition is acquisition number 125 for Cisco. The acquisition is part of Cisco’s plan to scale up the application ladder to provide enterprise-wide networking solutions.
