I dont believe. It is the same multipoint toutch screen that Apple patented. Microsoft is again copying Apple Technology and nothing from Apple...

This is great, and if you stop to think about it, it is the next step. My question is "Can I afford It?"

While there have been several touch screen technologies previewed in the past, none has been like this one. For one thing the surface is a solid piece of glass, the sensors are five cameras below the surface. The interface is not OS X but an advanced media player on Vista. This is really groundbreaking technology and hopefully will get taken to the next step (ie. displays such as seen in Minority Report) While at this moment it is being geared to commercial uses, I look forward to the day that this technology will find its way into the home.

So it's a big tablet screen!! The magic is in the software and I have to say it looks fantastic. If Apple can't sell something, and Microsoft can... what does that tell you? It tells me MS have a price performance and trust that people buy into. Apple are still suffering from their earlier rip-off days and will continue to do so for some time. Till MS Genuine Advantage forces many private buyers to think about full cost I suspect. I'm thinking about a MAC by the way... but it's taken me 10 years to get to 'thinking' about it. Then again, this looks great too!

If you use Firefox there is an extention for it that will allow you to download the flash animations. You will then need a flash player to view them also you would then need to convert them over to view with any other player.

The difference is that instead of jerking around w/ pretty presentations, M$ is bringing the technology to the consumer and this is why Apple will always be one step behind (except for the iPod... M$ blew that one). This technology will be available to anyone that can afford a PC (in about 5 years) and it will become smaller and more user friendly. This will be on your wall, intergrated in your TV and on your kitchen appliances. On a lighter note, the porn industry must be drooling (pun intended) at the opportunity to get their hands on this.
