Users have traditionally come to TechRepublic via two main paths: From search engines and our fleet of popular email newsletters. However, a third avenue has emerged: Social media.
A lot of our members, users, and friends are now using social tools like Twitter and Facebook to find the best stuff on the Web and to engage with their favorite brands. Here are the ways to find us in social media.
One of the best way for brands to interact with their friends on Facebook is with Fan Pages. On TechRepublic's Facebook Fan Page, you'll get about 3-5 posts per day on some of the most interesting new stuff on TechRepublic. There are also photos, discussions of TechRepublic topics, and notes from TechRepublic editors.
On Twitter, TechRepublic offers a feed of our latest articles, blog posts, podcasts, and videos. The feed updates virtually in real time. You'll also find occasional updates from TechRepublic editors on other interesting content for IT professionals.
One thing to note is that all of our Twitter links use the shortned URL "tek.io" which is our custom Bit.ly URL.
Editors and writers on Twitter
In addition to the primary TechRepublic Twitter feed, you can also find many of TechRepublic's individual editors and writers on Twitter, where they often share behind-the-scenes information, favorite links, and instant analysis on tech news.
