TechRepublic is preparing to launch a new blog that will be a spinoff of our popular Geekend blog. The new blog will take a practical approach to gadgets and digital lifestyle technologies, including consumer electronics, gaming systems, mobile tech, and much more.
The problem is that we are having a hard time coming up with a good name for the blog. We've come up with lots of ideas and the ones we like the most are "Life with Gadgets" and "Practical Gadgetry," but we're not completely sold on either of those yet.
We're looking for something that expresses the fact that this blog will take a TechRepublic approach to digital lifestyle, meaning we'll talk about the way the technology really works and not the way the marketing copy tells you it works. It also means that we'll talk about the technologies that are actually being used and not just the hot new flavor of the month.
If you can think of a name for this blog that captures all of that and serves as a good general name for a gadget blog and isn't already taken, please post it in the discussion. If we choose your suggestion, we'll send you a free TechRepublic coffee mug plus a TechRepublic collared shirt (L or XL).
