I am looking forward to joining this kind of session. I admit, I am avid fan of Apple and I would not miss this seminar for the world. - Dean Spasser

apple is out of gas. they are happy to make millions on Pixar and their app stores; computers, no. at one time it was david and goliath; now, it is david and david. they are the enemy we once were fighting against. i loath what they have become. a fish stinks from the head and jobs makes sure everyone knows he is the head. he rules by fear and sells by closing off his products. i miss the spirit of the old apple and i regret the way i feel about the "new apple."

Not sure why my comments dont show up in the Live screen, can you not see your own comments? Anyways, how long until Apple bans third party apps on the Mac and requires you to get everything from the app store?

I doubt that Apple will try to move all software to the Mac App Store any time soon. There's too much of an established base there. Bill Detwiler said he could see Apple going all App Store within about a 5-year timeframe. If they do it, I think that sounds about right.

You can, of course, post comments and questions for Bill and I in this discussion thread. But, during the event, you can also interact live in the Cover It Live console that's embedded in the blog post.
