The previous "version" was simpler, easy to find things and worked well. This new "version" is the exact opposite. It really makes me want to dump TR and find some other tech site as my main source of info. You've gone downhill the past year and this has really put you over the edge into the abyss.

If they had not of pushed out the redesign I wouldn't have fell over yesterday and broken my leg. Currently it's a real pain in the rear while the leg is broken it's broken in such a place they they can do nothing but let you hobble around on crutches with no Splint or Plaster and the muscle pain has to be experienced to be believed. :D Currently I'm stuck in the chair in front of my computer and am unable to get up till someone gets over to lift me. When I get up without putting any weight on the left leg I'll be OK but at the moment I keep falling down as I get so far then my good leg buckles and down I go again. No fun at all. ?:| Now who are the Web Developers so can instigate Legal Action against them? If I could actually use TR I wouldn't have been going down the stairs so it must be their fault. :^0 Anyway it's mostly a nuisance as the pain is making me slow and groggy and I'm probably making even less sense than usual as I feel all over the place now so I have no idea of just how bad this will be. :p But on the up side I managed to avoid Emergence Surgery as the broken bit was not all the way through just a little crack where the Muscles attach to the top of the leg so there is No Bone Welding or Glue Required. Just a few weeks of Light Duties so I'm guessing that is My Holiday for this year. :-& Anyway it's all TR's Fault so I expect lots of Grovelling from the Web Developers and the rest of the staff or I'll start opening Air Lock doors. :^0 Col 0:-)

I think this is the first time in a number of weeks that my Cafe thread didn't make it to the top discussion. Oh well, just means I should be paying more attention ;) . Loved the T's by the way, they rock! I'm slowly finding my way around, will figure it all out eventually :)

santeewelding

Where did you get my number from? Edit: Okay. I think I see. Had to be over the last weekend because, since the site change, I have been flat-out ignoring the obviously automated spam. I have no method I can see to definitively report it. I haven't dared click on the Flag thingy -- if that is what Flag is for -- expecting to cause pandemonium in the Louisville headquarters.

I haven't been able to find the Cafe....I've been Googling discussions to find them until I figure out how to keep track of them. Maybe I'll just make a new folder in my bookmarks :D

It's everyone's feedback that's going to make this site ROCK! ;)

Sorry, that's just a random ricochet from the .45 (.44 - I know)... What I really meant to say is, go ahead press the flag thingy, it's nice and friendly and all. It may cause a random TR employee to receive an electric shock, but that's mostly harmless. Anyway, as with all things this shiny, it has an "Are you sure?" and an "Are you really really sure?" automated restraint mechanism. You can flag for "Spam", "Offensive" (uh-oh), "Off-Topic" and ... "Other" (Dum-dum-dum Dummm!!!), and you can leave a nice little note too, in fact it's mandatory.

Sonja Thompson
Sonja Thompson

Tammy send me the stats from the past week. I'd still like to highlight Spam Flags and Most Votes up... it would even be fun to see who received the Most Votes down (but I wouldn't want everyone to start competing for that spot). :-)

It was embarrassing going to the Meat Works and telling that story. :-&\ And I have to go back there tomorrow and tell it all over again to the Fracture Clinic. Not really sure what they do there other than create fractures and I know that I don't want another one. :( But at least SWMBO was involved. :^0 Col ;)

Age, and all. Er, and this "thong" of which he speaks -- doubled up, at that. I am beginning to think I see how it happened. The visual. It burns.

HAL 9000

I'm responsible for my actions. Surely that can not be correct. :^0 But in my case I was doing as Instructed or maybe that should read Destructed by SWMBO. It's far less painful smashing a Hip that telling her that she doesn't know what she's talking about. ;) But i got off lucky and didn't smash the hip just a small crack that doesn't go all the way through so I got out of Surgery and more importantly the Hospital. But she did insist that I wear sneakers which she bought recently and I slipped in those. If I was wearing those Dangerous Thongs that you slip over and hurt yourself with I would have been OK. :D Col

OH Smeg
OH Smeg

I was going down the front steps and slipped, not really sure how but I was wearing sneakers instead of thongs which are supposed to be Dangerous. ;) Anyway instead of going over to my Mothers place and helping SWMBO to mow the lawn I spent hours at the Hospital surrounded by sick people. :D Real fun that was I might add. :0 Col

Does this qualify as Routine Maintenance? :^0 If it does I'm not liking it one little bit. :p Col

I think all the old Off-topic discos may have gone the way of the Dodo, or of the Doo-doo, depending on perspectives. Now we just gotta pester the PTB to find out if that's a bug or a feature!

Why not Soni it sounds like fun. Now if only there was a link to the Blog that started this discussion I may know what you lot are talking about. :^0 I'm more than a bit slow today so I'm going to take a break and try to work things out. Yesterday at the Fracture Clinic I was sent in told that I needed another X Ray no biggy there it's expected but after the X Ray I wanted to back up quick. The same Quack but this time in Freshly washed Scrubs was waiting for me and smiling. I knew that there was a reason for those small wheeled wheel chairs it's so the people in them have no control and can not stop them. Anyway I have another 2 weeks till I have to return for another Pretty Picture to see if it's got any worse and they can push me into surgery. You had better bet real hard that things will not get any worse. :D Col

he or she tells me, "Don't call me sir, I work for a living." ;) It's just a habit really, like "dude" or "guys". (Although I use 'sir" to indicate respect in particular.) If I offend, I certainly apologize. I did confuse ThumbsUp2 by using "dude", I think, once. I guess it's a bad habit. Oh, P.S., I'm not using "sir" to distinguish officers from enlisted in the mil sense, either. Forgot that bit.

that's an idea. wonder what happens with a post flagged as "other", then? I was hoping it could be used to ask TR for feedback maybe... but now it sounds too risky.
