the inspirational writing here on TR! Great to hear about your printing career! My limited exposure to it was facinating to me. "See" ya on TR!

didn't realise that you were so green when we first met. I am also thinking that you may psychoanalyze me. Good luck ;)

For his PHD in Shrinkology. :0 As we are all insane here and way too far gone to even care he has lots of Data to collect and work with. :^0 Col ]:) Edited to add OH don't tell anyone it's supposed to be a secret. :D

nothing for it but to pass judgment... You are all Silly. (Said as if I was Alice to the Red Queen).

So refreshing to hear anything mechanical here at TR, especially in humor!

WRONG! Limited Slip Differentials have been around a long time prior to the 1930's. That's one of the few useful things that I actually remember from my time at Uni. :^0 Col ]:)

Not sure either alone is enough, though, he was a mathematician was he not? So LSD would have been redundant.

thanks for the tip. :D It was either that or a very fertile imagination to come up with a story like that. ;)

as LSD came about in the late 30's I think. (1938 Google FTW).

is easy, just remove a small chunk of the brain in the back of ones head :D For emotional pain, yes, ignore it, bottle it all up until you cannot add more pressure. When everyone around you suddenly dies a horrific and unexpected death, you have an excuse -- the therapist made you do it :D

I particularly Liked the form of Aversion Therapy used on Bill Oddie in the Goodies. Every time he started to get worked up over something they hit him over the head with a hammer. Of course the Touchy Feely Therapist started to enjoy the treatment too much and just continued to hit him over the head with a hammer till he escaped by which time he was cured. :D Personally I try to avoid those people they are just strange and not in a good way either. Talk about the Blind leading the Blind to make things worse. :0 Doesn't make much sense to me but then again I tend to ignore most of what they say to begin with particularly after being told I'm suicidal because I was riding a racing Bike on a closed track at 140 MPH. It wasn't the racing bike or the closed track it was the speed which meant that I didn't respect life. But the same person insisting that Speed was bad was sitting in the belly of a aircraft traveling at 660 KPH 4 hours previously and he didn't have any control over what happened. When he left me he as swilling pills like there was no tomorrow. Talk about Drug Addicts I can do without them as I don't need to support the Drug companies any more than I currently do. :D I particularly liked another one who insisted that all pain was in the head and could be ignored. So I asked him to demonstrate this for me I offered to break one of his legs and if he could walk out of the room with bone protruding out of his leg I would then pay some attention to what he was saying but till then I though the was full of it. For some reason when offered a way to prove what he was saying he declined. I really can not understand why though. :D Col

continued on in Psychology... PHDs in that field come in 2 categories (major generalization bout to occur)... 1) Anal retentive, neurotic with more issues then a 1980 Ford Pinto in a demolition Derby. 2) Touchy-feely nut jobs sampling way to many meds and telling everyone they just need hugs. I realized I would have to kill myself if I became either type. No really, I would have been forced by myself to put me out of my misery. An act of charity. And as for getting more money kidnapping them, well, yes, I would guess it would be more money. But a were-hore has no choice in their actions. When the big Pimp in the Night Sky is full, and the gaudy makeup and tiny skirt sprouts... brains will be eaten for money.

HAL 9000

But wouldn't you get far more money by kidnapping them and making them pay to escape the Therapy? It's like this Officer I didn't really Kidnap so & so they where committed to my care and I'm just doing as the Law tells me to. :D I've only knowingly meet one shrink type person once and they went and committed suicide 3 days latter. He even killed himself in his classic Merc so I couldn't buy that car from his estate. :( I don't know perhaps I should be worried but he had other problems and it was nothing to do with meeting me Honest. Well that's my story & I'm sticking to it. :^0 Col ]:)

With Dumphrey's degree in pyschology, I was a little worried that he'd psychoanalyze me during this interview -- but he was a true gentleman and stuck to the topic at hand, which was all about him, his IT background, and even a little bit about his life outside of IT. Listen to the podcast, and then please chime in the discussion.

but the cables shouldnt be the FIRST thing to check. the FIRST thing would be to see if there really is a problem :D Because often it is actually user error :D

And so many of them vanish when you ask them to repeat what they were doing. Which I don't mind at all.

when I R. clicked and stated to check spelling, all of the underlines went away. So likely I just need to go inter preferences for the checker. However, what a sh!tty default.... Aha -- for some reason it was set to Russian instead of English. Funny, I set the system to English when installing -- oh what fun.....

I had to do it, I had to post. So even if it doesnt make sense, I just had to -- to get the first post out of my way on this new box. Interesting though -- Every word here is underlined as though it was spelled incorrectly. I guess FF doesnt play as well as it should on this new system??? ?:|
