Great interview, always nice to know how people enter the IT field. Hands on and research seem to be happy together. ;) Looking forward to seeing your Tattoos. :)

I enjoyed it. I'm with you in the small shops preference. I like to be able to get to know everyone with whom I work. It's, I don't know, cozycomfy. I'm with you in the shy department, too. Fight it every day. I wouldn't have known that about you, were it not for this interview. Hmmm... happy in the Midwest? Horror of horrors! :D Nice job, yet again. Keep 'em comin', Sonja.

I used to work for an SMB (300 - 350 employees). I moved to my current position in a company of 650. In 2 years they grew to 1200, and were then purchased by a 5500 employee company. So now, I have over 6500 coworkers in 21 offices all over the US and Canada. I don't exactly know everyones name. :p

no one really knows do they? :D I have a thing against working for big corporations that stick you in a cubicle zone. Blech! It's much nicer when you can actually ask the CEO if you can leave early for a sick child or spouse. :)

I'm quite embarrased. I really am an introvert and don't like being in the spotlight for real. :8} But I'm also ROFL at all they GUYS replies so far. :^0 [edited for smileys. Yay I found my cheat sheat!]

I'm one of those who hates hearing her own voice on a recording. Hope your house is finished soon!

I hate hearing myself on recordings (which is odd considering I am a singer in a band) :0 I also hate being on camera. :p

It is nice to let time prove me right, again! :D Wonderful cast, if not just a little embarrassing.... ;\ Cool, I did the whole stage crew thing for years. It was a natural transition from that to crew for a rock-n-roll band. next few years, while a bit fuzzy, were a heck of a party. :D And with that link, I think I even found a new place to find Christmas presents from! B-) Bonus! Very interesting. If TR starts to revisit, Tink is someone that would be cool to hear more from. Well done. :x

me, the wild long hair, living on my motorcycle, running wild. Lets just say, there are quite a few stories that my boys will have to wait at least another decade to hear about! No sense giving them any ideas, ya know? :D Nothing on as grand a scale as Oz, but have run lights for BOC, Nazareth, Jackel, and quite a few more. A good time. Started when I was 17, and back then they were not hassling you, so not only did I get served, it was free all weekend long. B-)

You're a relatively new name to me. I've seen JD since back when I first arrived on TR. However, I shall mention now that your replies make me laugh...alot. :D

I may have considered contributing to the TR Tat Gallery. If that was indeed a typo, I don't think I want to any more. Man boobs... *shudder* :0 :p ;\

Sure, information technology is quite a stretch from marine biology, but we're happy that life steered her in a different direction and that she's a part of the TR community. Take a few minutes to listen to Tink!'s story.

I failed to mention that I'm a total klutz and seem to have an internal magnet that attracts walls, doors and other physical objects. By the time I was 12 or so I had 16 scars on one knee and 17 on the other. Plus several on my elbows. :D I've had stitches twice (both in my head - maybe that explains some things) and have had 2 rollover car accidents. I've been hit in the head by nearly every sports ball (stay clean guys) including but not limited to, softballs, baseballs, kickballs, water polo balls, soccer balls. I've also had a 12 foot 2x4 dropped on my head during stage crew. The girl who did it was promptly named "Duck!"
