Happy birthday to TR's Head Technology Editor, Bill Detwiler, and Senior Editor Selena Frye. If you had a birthday this past week, please let us know so that we can give you a shout out next year!

Also, many condolences to gadgetgirl, as one of our dearest furry friends and TR Pet of the Week celebrity, Murff, is no longer with us. <3

TR Member contributions = swag We are collecting TR member submissions -- photos, original video clips, and audio files -- so that we can assemble them in a monthly community video. Our e-mail address is trol at techrepublic.com. If we don't receive enough submissions, that means there won't be a video for that particular month. However, for those of you who do contribute, we'll send you some free TR swag!

Those crazy haircuts? The G.I. haircut was a particular shock when it appeared on my 22" monitor! Keep it going Sonja - the 'Notes' are worth far more than many folk realise. ;)

Can't any longer. Murf: Mine was, "momma cat". Sonja: keep it up. The only way you will know how crucial this is to us, is to stop doing it. Whereupon, there will occur, The Revetment, and the end of all. You would not want that, would you? __________ Commas, lest I be crucified for what I myself insist upon.

I'm very, very sorry to hear that. Firm shoulder to cry on and a soft nappy to cry into, Lynn. Crying with you. :_| edit: Yes, it's clean. It's cloth and never been used for its intended purpose.

GG, my sympathies. I had a Murf for several years myself. Sonia, as long as at least one of Jason's discussions makes the top five, you're probably okay.

It sucks to lose a cherished pet and I hope you're doing OK. I'm sure you gave Murff a wonderful home.

Ok, first off, I have to let everyone know that Jason and I didn't really talk about this -- that is, me continuing to assemble the "Notes" of the former TROLOV on Friday morning. You can call it a habit, because honestly, I think I might be a little lost without assembling these pieces of community data that I've put together for the last year and a half. But habit aside, I also enjoy it! So, there you go... Be sure to check out the Addendum near the bottom of the post. I'll reserve that area for special news, updates, and the like. Oh, and if you have suggestions for me going forward, feel free to drop me a PM or send an e-mail to trol [at] techrepublic.com.

Appreciate you letting us not go Jones'n for our TROLOV. This will keep us from having to quit "Cold Turkey". We love how you keep us informed of the TR happinin's. I always look forward to the "Thumbies". It's kinda like a competition. (I think Oh Hal must cheat somehow tho) nobody can be that good. Can they??? Sorry G.G.

If you look at Hal's Thumbs you'll see that I have not got one in a very long time, Mater of fact someone has even unmarked one answer that I gave as Helpful and I'm not down to 667 helpful Answers. :p Smeggy on the other hand has got a few helpful answers recently though personally I do question that count of 16 I think it's widely optimistic. But as a hint all Smeggy appears to do is repost your answers and take credit for the answers. :^0 Col 0:-)
