Windows Home Server is a new kind of server for the home. I have used it extensively and I believe Microsoft may have a hit with this very cool idea. Many vendors are also catching on and creating software that is compatible.
I love Windows Home Server. If you haven't seen any of my previous posts, they are:
- "Real World: Using Windows Home Server"
- "Real World: Adding Disk Space to a Windows Home Server"
- "Real World: Connecting your computers to your Windows Home Server"
You can even buy a book for your children and wife explaining to them why you need a Windows Home Server in your home.
In this post, I will show you how to install Diskeeper 2008 Home Server Edition and add it to the Windows Home Server console.
Let's start by installing Diskeeper 2008 as shown in Figure A and Figure B.
Figure A. Installing Diskeeper 2008.
Figure B. Welcome Screen.
Next, login to the Windows Home Server console and choose settings (Figure C).
Click on Add-ins and choose the Available tab. Choose Install to install Diskeeper 2008 into the Windows Home Server Console (Figure D) and (Figure E).
