Act/art of war? that's the trouble with the world today.

Ellison out-maneuvering IBM, gaining the Java platform for middleware... are all good. Sun expressed commitment to MySQL after purchasing it but I see nothing on the Oracle/Sun deal here: http://www.mysql.com/news-and-events/ and this TechRepublic video coverage misses this component. Of course there is this: http://blogs.techrepublic.com.com/hiner/?p=1506 with the line "Oracle gets to kill MySQL." Or, perhaps simply embrace, extend, and extinguish. :-)
