Video: TR Dojo bloopers for 2010

Watch Bill Detwiler, host of TR Dojo, flub his lines, growl at the camera, and even answer a support call while filming in this blooper reel from 2010.
Another year has past here at TechRepublic, and this year we aired our 100th TR Dojo episode. And as those of you who hang around until after the credits know, among all that footage are a lot of bloopers. Here on TR Dojo, we're once again celebrating the year holiday season with an episode dedicated entirely to my mistakes. You'll see me flub my lines, ramble on to know one in particular, and even field PC support from my dad while we were of filming. Enjoy and Happy Holidays! If you'd like to see more footage of me screwing up, check out the TR Dojo bloopers for 2008 and the TR Dojo bloopers for 2009. While not specifically related to the topic, my dad called me at work many years ago during Christmas. I sat in a open air cubicle are along with 5 other people. We all knew each other pretty well to the depths of parents, etc. It was during Christmas and my Dad, then retired, called wanting to know the name of Sant's reindeer. This is not to unusual for my dad; he wasn't senile but was always thinking of something to do or work on. I explained to him I couldn't answer the question because of being at work. Did I mention my dad was hard of hearing? So, my cubicle buddies knew who I was talking to when my dad called. Did I also mention he was retired Navy? Being in the military, he usually didn't take no for an answer. So, knowing it was "futile to resist" I started naming the reinder. You can imagine the chuckles that I over heard. Then, my dad, realized what time it was, asked if other people were there at work. "yes dad, they're here". He even thought it was funny; yeah, dad, thanks. We hung up and I got kidded about it the rest of the morning. My dad passed a way a few years ago. I miss him.

Dojo is a Japanese term used to identify formal training place--like a school. I use dojo in the title of the TR Dojo blog and video series to illustrate that they are a place to further one's IT training.

Why I missed it first time. Maybe I just missed the original. It's, "pro-NUN-ciation"; not, "pro-NOUN-ciation". Same with, enunciation. Enunciate more better, please.

Thanks for the bloopers, I did find that you look better in a blue shirt than a black or dark shirt having a black beard makes you look very black. Merry Xmas and happy newyear to you all.

I'm always trying different shirts. Thanks for the input. I'll have to try a few new colors in 2011.
