Microsoft Windows

Poll Results: Does the activation process really decrease piracy?

Takeaway: How did your peers answer this question: Does the Microsoft Activation process to determine “Genuine” copies of Windows really reduce software piracy?

Results

Not surprisingly, the 1,444 TechRepublic member respondents were generally not impressed by the Microsoft Activation process and were very skeptical that the program actually does much of anything with regard to preventing piracy.
