In my previous post, I gave you a brief introduction of User Access Control (UAC) in Windows Vista. In this post, I am going to show you how to customize UAC if applicable.
When logged in as an Administrator, you can disable the elevation prompts by double-clicking User Account Control: Behaviour of the elevation prompt for administrators in Admin Approval Mode and choosing No Prompt (Figure C). You can follow the same procedure for a Standard User as well.
You can tweak and customize your UAC settings using the 8 policies that are in place to meet your needs. If you do not like getting prompted, disable it. If you do not like switching to a secure desktop, disable it.
You are still in control of your own destiny.
