Tip: How do I add new toolbars to my desktop in Windows

Here is a shortcut I use to keep all of my favorites accessible from my Start menu. I recommend you take advantage of adding new toolbars to your start menu. It is very simple and easy to do. Let's begin.

Right-click on your desktop and choose Toolbars | New Toolbar . . . (Figure A).

Figure A.

Next, choose the folder that you want to appear in your Start menu (Figure B.)

Figure B.

Your custom toolbar now appears in the Start menu. You can use this feature to put all of your favorite folders on your toolbar (Figure C & D).

In the past, I suggested a program called LaunchIt NOW! Plus 2006 from GemiScorp which is one of the best programs I've tested and used for organizing the desktop and quickly launching apps, docs, etc. This program is fully compatible with Windows Vista and continues to be very useful. I'm not sure if the program is available in the Downloads section but you can find it at: http://www.gemiscorp.com/english/launchitnowplus/info.html
