Ian Campbell is group CIO for Transport for London (TfL), the body responsible for managing transport services across the capital.
His role means he oversees the technology behind London's buses, trains, underground and river boats, as well as the capital's traffic lights and Congestion Charge scheme.
Prior to working at TfL Campbell held several CIO and group CIO positions with major organisations including Royal Mail Letters, British Energy, Energis and Citibank.
A graduate of the London School of Economics, Campbell has also worked in senior technology roles at PA Consulting and Logica.
Outside of work he is chairman of the blue-chip IT user group, the Corporate IT Forum, and board member of EuroCIO, which sees the top European organisations' CIOs sharing best practice experiences.
In his spare time Campbell races large 72-foot yachts and enjoys skiing in Europe and the US.
