James de Watteville
UK CIO | RSA
James de Watteville has more than 25 years' experience in the outsourcing and technology fields, on both the client and the service provider side.
He is currently UK CIO of insurer RSA, a position he has held since May 2008.
Before joining RSA, de Watteville spent 18 months at the Ministry of Justice leading the complex transition of the department's IT services from numerous incumbent IT suppliers to two new providers at the start of a seven-year relationship covering all infrastructure and applications.
Prior to his MoJ role, de Watteville worked for CSC, where he was responsible for its contract with the NHS IT body Connecting for Health to deliver its programme in the North West and West Midlands.
He has also spent two years with National Grid Transco as IS operations director, where he led the IS transformation programme put in place following the merger of National Grid and Transco.
de Watteville has also held the role of partner at Accenture. During his 15 years with the services company, he was primarily focused on outsourcing, most notably with the London Stock Exchange.
