Katherine Coombs

Katherine Coombs is CIO for Morrison Facilities Services - a company which conducts repairs and maintenance for the social housing sector.

She joined MFS in January this year from Lloyds TSB savings division where she was CIO, responsible for a £200m IT budget.

Coombs joined Lloyds as senior manager of its IT innovation and research team in 2007, driving an IT-led change and innovation programme to either deliver new income or reduce costs.

Coombs' IT career spans more than 10 years and covers a diverse range of sectors - from finance and government to services and retail. While currently UK-based, the Australian national began her career in her native country - including management roles at Schlumberger and Jacobs Engineering.

She's also worked as an IT consultant at Avanade, working with clients including Barclays, HMRC and Virgin Atlantic.

Coombs holds a degree in Computer Science and is currently completing a Masters in Business Administration. Outside work, she is passionate about travelling and is learning Spanish.
