Homeserve | CIO
Before arriving at Homeserve, Trevor Didcock was CIO at the AA for four years and a member of the executive team responsible for the highly successful private equity backed development and sale to a consortium with Saga in September 2007.
During the three years under private equity ownership, Didcock led the AA separation from previous parent company Centrica, and the creation of a new standalone IS organisation with operating cost savings of more than 40 per cent.
He also led the biggest change programme in the history of the AA, refreshing most of the IT infrastructure and implementing new systems or major enhancements to every business. The executive team practically doubled the value of the AA once again, selling at a price of £3.35bn.
Previous to that, Didcock was group IT Director at the RAC for four years, head of IT at Mars Confectionery for three and in IS roles across disciplines in Mars and JP Morgan before that. His early career was in engineering with Esso Petroleum.
As well as achieving an MBA at Cranfield School of Management, Didcock holds a Diploma in Marketing and a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from Nottingham University.
Didcock enjoys a wide range of sports including golf, sailing and tennis.Return to list
