With advances in technology, media, from hard drives to CD-ROMs to tapes for backup, gets cheaper and bigger every day. What happens to the old media? It should be disposed of as completely as possible if it cannot or should not be recycled. This policy will provide a guideline for disposing of the most common types of media.
