Some rules were made to NOT be broken. Sticking to these fundamental guidelines will help you build your reputation and success.

As a consultant, you're largely responsible for your own destiny: It's up to you to set rules and boundaries for yourself and to adhere to them so that your customers know you're reliable, professional, and highly competent. By following certain rules, you protect yourself as well. For example, one consultant discovered that his failure to formalize an agreement concerning post-project revisions and tweaks led to frequent requests for extra work that persist to this day. He estimates that given the time he's put in over and above the original project scope, he's made about a dollar an hour. This small set of guidelines will save you tons of grief and help you grow your clientele, build a stellar reputation, and establish a thriving consultancy.Join the discussion of this download.
