I have always regarded Flash (beginning with Shockwave) as simply an animation tool. Admittedly, this was from afar. It had not place in my tool bag of "real" application languages.
But, as I begin to gain expertise with FlashMX I realize that it contains ALL THE IMPORTANT ATTRIBUTES OF A FULL-FLEDGED OOP LANGUAGE.
Additionally, it is one of the very, very few Graphically Intensive applications that does not Crash Windows!
Hats off to Macromedia. A strong product and a strong company, growing stronger.

when the text in the XML is replaced with accented
characters, they don't appear in the Flash file or are
represented as squares. Changing the font did not help
either. Is there something to add to the parsing script to
interpret the accented characters?

In the .doc attached the author talks about using a similar
method to create a grid like structure that scrolls both on
the x and y axis. Having problems getting creating this just
wondering if anybody could assist in getting me started.
Thanks

Got a problem. Eveything seems to be working fine, except for one thing. In the left, "grey" navigation section, it doesn't seem to allow me to scroll up or down to view the complete list (name="Page 1"). Currently showing only 12.
For some reason, the scroll bar for the grey, navigation area isn't showing up so I'm not able to view the complete list. Please Help.
